CAPTAIN CILLIAN, IRISH SEA-LOVING ADVENTURER HAS LANDED AT SHANNON AIRPORT AND THE HERITAGE VISITOR CENTRES IN IRELAND
Captain Cillian, the Irish Sea-loving adventurer, has landed at Shannon Airport and the Shannon Group Heritage Visitor Centres, including the Cliffs of Moher, Kings Castle (Limerick), Malahide Castle (Dublin) and many more. Shannon Heritage, established since 1963 is one of the largest operators of heritage products in Europe and was one of the first companies in Ireland to develop and run heritage attractions and evening entertainments. Last year, they attracted over 630,000 visitors to their centres from the UK, US and Europe.
The Captain Cillian Ireland adventure book series is fun and educational. Each story takes children (from age 3 up to 9) on a journey of discovery, where they will explore Ireland including the Wild Atlantic Way, discover ocean facts and learn key words in the Irish language. At the end of each story children complete a quiz, puzzles and some creative playtime activities.
Shannon Group Purchasing Manager, Suzanna Kelly says, “We are delighted Captain Cillian, a fun Irish seafaring explorer, is now available with the Shannon Group retail outlets in Ireland. Captain Cillian is a perfect companion for young explorers travelling around Ireland this summer or a fun Irish children’s gift that international visitors can takeaway as a special memory”.
Author and founder of Captain Cillian Learning Adventures, Carina Ginty explains “since launching the book series in October 2015, they have proved to be very popular with mums and dads and their boys and girls, grandparents seeking a special Irish gift, and primary teachers and librarians in Ireland. The Ireland adventure gift packs have shipped worldwide to families in the UK, US, Australia, Asia, Dubai and various destinations in Europe.
